Beef Stew

With extra tender slow cooked beef, this stew is ultimate comfort in a pot.

Ingredients
  • 4 sticks celery, cut into approx. 1-2cm pieces
  • 1 white onion, cut into approx. 1-2cm pieces
  • 6 tomatoes, washed, roughly chopped
  • 1x400g tin chopped plum tomatoes
  • 3 carrots cut into approx. 1-2cm pieces
  • 700ml beef stock
  • 400g chestnut mushrooms
  • 1 piece thyme
  • 1 piece rosemary
  • 120g tomato puree
  • 40g corn flour
  • 9g ground cumin
  • 6g paprika
  • 6g chilli powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Mix the corn flour with the stock and put all ingredients into the slow cooker bowl. Cook on the highest setting for approximately 6-8 hours.
