Portuguese Haddock

A cultural dish that will tantalise the taste buds.

Ingredients
  • 12.5g butter
  • 1/2 small onion, very thinly sliced
  • 1 haddock or cod steak or fillet
  • 1/2 bay leaf
  • 150g can condensed cream of tomato soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Butter the bottom of the cooking pot
  2. Lay the onion on the butter, then the fish and bay leaf
  3. Season
  4. Boil the tomato soup in a separate pan, stirring well, and pour over the fish
  5. Press the SLOW COOK button and cook for 2-3 hours
  6. Remove the bay leaf before serving
