Sweet and Sour Pork

Ingredients
  • 750g pork shoulder/neck,
  • ½ pineapple cut into approx. 1-2cm pieces
  • 30ml vegetable oil
  • 2 green peppers cut into approx. 1-2cm pieces
  • 3 red peppers
  • 2 yellow peppers
  • 1 bunch spring onions, sliced
  • 2 red onions cut into approx. 1-2cm pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely diced
  • 500ml tomato ketchup
  • 200ml plum sauce
  • 60ml rice wine vinegar
  • 100ml Worcestershire sauce
  • 200ml oyster sauce
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 600ml water
  • 200g dark soy sauce
  • 40g corn flour

Method

  1. Preheat the slow cooker bowl on the hob then add the oil and brown the pork in small batches. Return the bowl to the slow cooker then add all other ingredient, mix the corn flour with the water before adding, and cook on the high setting for 4-6 hours.
