Creamy Cauliflower Mash

Using the Russell Hobbs Illumina hand blender add a delicious twist to your Sunday roast with creamy cauliflower mash. Achieve super smooth mash without all the effort.

Ingredients
 
  • 1 head cauliflower, cut into small florets
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 litre whole milk
  • White pepper
  • 25g unsalted butter

Method

  1. Put the cauliflower into a saucepan with the bay leaf and cover with the milk.
  2. Bring to the boil then simmer gently for 15-20 minutes until soft.
  3. Strain the cauliflower and reserve the milk; discard the bay leaf.
  4. Milk infused with a bay leaf gives the mash a richer taste
  5. Once cooked, the ingredients can be mashed by the masher attachment straight in the pan.
  6. Blend, gradually adding the cooking milk until you have a smooth purée.
  7. Season with a little salt and white pepper then stir in the butter.
  8. Spoon the mash into a bowl and decorate with a handful of chopped chives
  9. Your Creamy Cauliflower Mash is ready to eat.
