  • 2 tsp. Salt
  • 250 ml. Warm water
  • 500g Strong White Flour
  • 4 tbsp. clear honey
  • 25g butter melted
  • 100g Walnut pieces lightly toasted

Method

  1. Firstly, add the flour, yeast and salt in a large bowl and mix, then add the honey, butter and the warm water.
  2. Mix to a soft dough then knead well for 5 minutes. If the mix is a bit tight add a dash more water.
  3. Leave in a lightly greased cling filmed bowl in a warm place until it has doubled in size.
  4. Take out and knead again for 5 minutes then add the walnuts and knead until evenly distributed. Again leave to prove for 20 minutes.
  5. Take your Russell Hobbs Multi cooker and select the bread programme and lightly grease the bowl with a little oil.
  6. Take the dough and shape into a large round and place into your multi cooker.
  7. Close the lid but remove the steam cover on the top of the machine.
  8. This allows excess moisture to leave the cooker.
  9. When the bread has baked for 2.30 hours tip the bread out and replace it in the bowl upside down to allow the top to be browned.
  10. When the 3 hours is reached turn out the bread onto a cooling tray.
  11. Serve with butter and cheese.
  12. Top Tip: You could exchange the walnuts for sunflower seeds, linseeds or pumpkin seeds.
